ROUTE

DESCRIPTION: The ride takes cyclists around the undulating countryside

in the South Peninsula ? Cape Point area. The race follows the

traditional route from False Bay Rugby Club but changes at Ou Kaapse

Weg. The long and medium routes go up Ou Kaapse Weg and then follow an

anti-clockwise route around the South Peninsula/Cape Point area. The

long route goes through Kommetjie, while the medium route (via

Glencairn Expressway) splits from the long route in Sun Valley. Both

these routes then go up Boyes Drive in Kalk Bay before descending onto

Main Road in Lake Side. From there a left turn onto Steenberg Road,

where effectively the route doubles back on itself once it goes past

the bottom of Ou Kaapse Weg. At Ladies Mile Road the route turns left

towards the finish in Nirvana Way. The short route initially follows

the same route as the long and medium routes up to the circle at Tokai

Road. From there a left turn down Tokai Road and a right turn into Main

Road brings cyclists up to Steenberg Road. Another right turn re-joins

the short route with the long and medium routes to the finish.

Where is the finish,  and how we get to it cause route description is not stated too well.

epoh: if you did the Argus back when it went over Ou Kaapse Weg, you will remember the steep decent to the highway. We basically start our race with that....and it doesn't let up CryConfused

Where is the finish' date='?and how we get to it cause route description is not stated too well.[img']

You go through Tokai forest past Peddlars restaurant and up the small incline to the traffic lights. ifyou go straight ahead you get to Constantia Village shopping centre but instead you turn left at the lights and the finish is down that way.

But I'm more interested in where these 3 passes are.

A pass goes over a mountain doesn't it ?

I don't understand your dislike of these kinds of rides. You're fitter than most and have plenty of miles in your legs. You should be keen.

Are you going to be doing the one this weekend since it's a league ride ?
