Hi all

Just curious to know what are the teams and their compostion that will be contesting the leagues (sub vets) here in CT this Summer?

What the teams roster of riders looks like?

I think there was a thread to this effect a while back but things have changed alot since that thread was established.

Arauma carriers remain pretty much the same:

Shaun le Roux (Captain), Conway Oliver, Nigel Isaacs, Theo Bothma (Team director/rider), Andre Louw and me.

Shaun, Nigel and I will also compete on the track.

The only big change is Fatty's move to a new team.

tooHot!!!: Dave Garret & Danny are now part of Pinnacle Point, so they'll be a strong team. Branco and Craig Gerber both got podium's last season.

I'm joining WW and Geddan Ruddock, riding under the Manic Cycles banner. If you see something orange moving fast, it's probably fatty attacking (again)...

Some guys are moving to 40+ (BikeMax, Guy Leray Cook etc). The whole 180'/Kauia team is no longer...not sure what happened there.

Thats about all I know...

Thx guys! Smile

Pinnacle Point are scary - good grief!

Is there a BikeMax team for Sub vets this year??

I see there 40+ team is very strong!!!

Pinnacle Point are gonna do some serious damage, what bout Moolman, Phillip Schoeman and John O'connor, are they riding Sub vets as well, if so they could prove to be very dangerous as well. I think they ride for Daikan now - just not sure if it is a sub vet team or elite???

I'm always on the attack, hoping they let me go. Happened once last season and got a podium spot after Branco and myself went off and stayed away for 30km's @ 41km/h avg.

I would like to be more aggressive in my racing this year. i think we can all take some pointers from fatty cos he was very aggressive last year with his racing and it paid off.

I think you do better by making the racing - ie staying at the front. Fatty is no stranger to staying at the front - riding for bikemax for a couple of years will do that to you!

I tried that approach last year - saying - i will rather ride right at the front and spend my effort closing down breaks at the front of the bunch rather than closing dead wheel gaps at the back - and i can tell you and i mean this - "Riding at the front is often easier, alot easier than at the back in the gutter"

that effort would be just good enough for 3rd bunch Elite....Wink

We caught the Elites at Bonnievale, and Klein Joostenberg the SV's avg'd higher than all the elites, bar the 3 in the break-away Wink
