Frozen Banana rocks

Ok, ok... so I can't claim to be the originator of this amazing taste sensation, I came across it on a sports nutrition site. However, if there's a better way to use bananas that are going over ripe (banana bread included) I've yet to find it.

Simply peal off the now slightly browning skin from the banana, wrap in tin foil, and freeze!

Once frozen enjoy the smoothest, most wonderful tasting banana ever. I promise you, no ice cream comes even close (and I love my ice cream)

I'll never throw away another banana again, and probably have cured myself of the dreaded ice cream addiction in one stroke LOL

strangest hub post I've made Embarrassed, but way to good not to share Thumbs%20Up

PPWTF, I discovered this when my kids were toddlers.  I wasn't keen on feeding them sugar/preservative laden 'treats' so I used to feed them frozen banana 'ice-cream'.  They loved it!

If you prefer 'soft serve' consistency just blend it with water Thumbs%20Up

ppwtf, my grandma taught me that about 25 years ago. It's a great alternative to an icecream

I usually break the banana into chunks and keep them in a tupperware in the freezer; I prefer ripe to over-ripe. Keeps for about a month. Great for when bananas are on special.

My favourite smoothie:

1 1/2 cups frozen banana

1 orange

Couple of tablespoons oat bran

1/2 cup of milk (any kind - soya if you like)

Few drops of vanilla essence

Optional: sugar to taste

Sounds interesting. Will always try something new.

Got a few at home, I'll let them get a little bit "vrot" and try it. Thanx.
