Homebrew MTB Tubeless conversion

Help.Me.

Recommended Posts

I also saw this website article some time back.

I didnt follow the guide though my bike was already converted for tubeless.

I went and bought some liquid latex and I have some in my tires now.

Still waiting to get a puncture to see what happens.

It will probably all spray over me.

I suppose thats one way to make a man sized condom smiley36.gif

Why wait till you get a puncture to know if it works. I made my own sealant and the first thing I did after filling my tires was stick a large needle into the tyre to check if it worked and it did. No problems.

I think it?s a bit like homebrewed beer...
It?s liquid and you can drink it ... but it tastes like mud

I?d rather have someone who has been trailed and tested do it for me. Last think I want to do is spring a lead 60 km from nowhere.

You first test the tyre without any slime to avoid the above...

JB helped me with mine - my tyres were too weak (blew off the rim with a rather BIG bang) so he swapped mine for a tubeless set in similar condition - GREAT service!!
