Buff Posted March 20, 2007 Share Sad for Tissink but such is sport. Did you see the speed that he got passed at on the run?... awesome running by the belgium.
Marius Posted March 20, 2007 Share Buff Pansie, how did Mark do!?!?!?!?!?
Buff Posted March 20, 2007 Share He did well, around 11hr 46min. Said he forgot to eat on the bike and bonked a bit on the 3rd lap on the bike but recovered enough to finish. Recons it was sh*t hard event thanks to the wind. Hennie (Wiele) Wentzel (the older vets on the board will know him well) also had a brilliant day, finished first in his age group 10hr 41mins. RESPECT... for an over 55 veteran... the man's a legend!!!!
BaieSukkel Posted March 20, 2007 Share Hennie was AWSOME! I biked with him but he kicked my but on the run! Good going!
Buff Posted March 20, 2007 Share Yeah, think he ran a 3:18 split for the run... pretty quick for an old ballie
Grantc Posted March 22, 2007 Share Yeah' date=' think he ran a 3:18 split for the run... pretty quick for an old ballie [/quote'] pretty quick for anybody - especially in an IM event
AfreekduSoet Posted March 23, 2007 Share Ja, shame about Raynard, but seriously, second at IM is nothing to cry about. He has got his spot for IM champs then, doesn't he? That to me is all that matters. Would rather he has the perfect race in Hawaii and maybe, just maybe get a top 5.
