Yay, had another good ride that put me in A...Durbanville 99'er, 7.45.

Haven't even bothered to pick up A number yet. Normal funrides are pointless at best.

RaceMan' date=' I would not mind, I can afford to drop a seeding, still be able to race SV's...what would not be funny if they put me into a A bunch, then I'll be-*** myself[img']https://www.bikehub.co.za/smileys/smiley11.gif" height="17" width="17" align="absmiddle" alt="Dead" />https://www.bikehub.co.za/smileys/smiley36.gif" height="17" width="17" align="absmiddle" alt="LOL" />?I never want to race with the Elites, they just to damn strong!!

Am I the only one that thinks the age groupings for the leagues are strange ? I mean you have 35 year old guys riding the Tour de France but here in the good ol' Cape, you turn 30 and you get to ride in a seperate group.

No, some ppl think it should be done on ability and not age, makes more sense to me as well. Think it's called "Cats", like Cat1-5, 5being a beginner and Cat1 being Elite riders. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I agree with the Cat system, it works overseas, why not here?

That said, imagine the outcry when PPA can't organize the seedings for the different Cats!

And then they'd still have to worry about the funriders.

Could be wrong but I think it's not done here because of the lack of numbers. But maybe if they used the Cat system it would attract more riders to ride league.

As long as they're correct I'll be happy. Rather they come late and right than early and wrong...

pererace70, according to a reply from PPA I saw recently, the seedings are continuously changed due to more changes to races that happened months ago.  People notice odd times for odd riders or riders are unhappy with their times posted by WT.

Just for interrest's sake, go have a look at who won the Eselfontein MTB events last year, according to Winning Time.  Those results are a complete f---UP and it is all the fault of Winning Time because they did not manage the groups properly at the start.  Only once all those incorrect short route times are taken away from the long route results will the seedings for that event be correct.
