JimFrase Posted May 1, 2007 Share Yes its a good idea Its safe in my opinion Its not that far (about 120-150km if you go into the reserve costs R55 unless you have a wild card) so a stay over is not really required anywhere, but Simons Town seems a nice place. CycleLab (Westlake) is the only place I know that hires road bikes. Afew places hire Mountain Bikes, but don't know them by name.
Kranswurm Posted May 1, 2007 Share I know there is a bike shop in Fish Hoek that hires bikes.Cycle lab is the better bet. did not know they hired out bikes. The Southern Right Hotel in Glencairn is an excellent place to stay.Reasonable rates and good seafood.
City Cycling Athletic Club Posted May 1, 2007 Share it depends on your start venue - avoid the Main Road (CT thru to Fish Hoek). if you start in CT ride over Kloof Nek into Camps Bay via The Glen, follow the coastal road into Hout Bay , over Chappies and then down into Fish Hoek and then floow the Argus route back to CT.
