FanieFiets Posted May 29, 2007 Share tooHot!!! Het jy die gewig van die nuwes gesien? Ek persoonlik drool al lank oor daardie babies, hulle prys by marvuli is ook nie te bad nie.
Jules Posted May 29, 2007 Share The new Shamals are nothing like the old ones. Less aero (more spokes, shallow rim) but a helluva lot lighter (1,4kg for the set, apparently). The hubs are carbon and the only colour they come in is porn star gold. I reckon you can't go wrong!!!!!!

EdoardoBianchi Posted May 30, 2007 Share I used to drool over these years ago...not too fond of the latest colour scheme though (unless you have a yellow Colnago). Have to agree with TH on the sound of Campy freewheels...*goose bumps* Why are you considering only Shamals? What else are you considering? What kind of price range? Mudsimus Posted May 30, 2007 Share I had a set of those old 12spoke shamaals..very nice!!
Jean-Jay Posted May 30, 2007 Share Shew, they are alot diff from the old shamal, i am not sure if i like them The old shamal was beautifull, with that deep 40mm profile and that silver sparkle....... oooooooh so nice!!!! But yeah the freewheel on any campy wheel is just pure poetry. Well i am not sure how great these new shamals are, but they can't be too bad, i personally prefer the profile wheels, if you are looking for light wheels i am not sure what is the market leader these days.... Will try and find out

Christie Posted May 30, 2007 Share I prefer the (equivalent?) Fulcrum racing 0's. Red colour is also loud, just less bling.
fatcyclist Posted May 30, 2007 Share Now if you have one of those older gold editon TCR Giant's like WorcesterWheelers, and the matching gold Elite bottle cages, then it's bike pimpin'...don't forget the gold Nokon cables.. That said, I tore out 9 spokes on my Campy Vento rear after a year of use (uses the same G3 spoke system). Waiting on our good friends at J&J to hear if they're going to replace the wheel. Not sure if they can enforce this because the actual warranty card that comes with their parts don't state this.
Joss Posted May 31, 2007 Share They don't look so bling as you would think. Limited to certain bike coulours i guess, but they are great wheels and you can not go wrong buying them. Great wheels and very light for alu wheels. Faan just buy them man!!
Kritzie Posted June 1, 2007 Share Cant go wrong with campy wheels, train on ventos for two years and no problems. Use the Zondas for racing and no hassles, just love the sound they make. Dont know if I like the gold not my cup of tea!!!
