SWEET!!! Such a good bike!!

Had the same idea for the 2010 Epic back in May. Lack of 29er spares, tyres etc made me think twice, in the end went for a 26" S-Works Stumpy.

You will LOOOOVE the bike though, rolls over everyting. Must be a reason why Tony Ellsworth use it as his #1 bike over the Truth now.

PS: maybe try the twist grips rather, the X0 ones are Fantastic esp for races like this.

Out of curiousity, apart from tyres, what other parts are specific to 29er?

 

FYI: You can use a 26" tyre tube in a 29er wheel.

You are going to have to explain that? I have enough trouble getting my 26" tyres on 26" rims.
