AndreZA Posted June 22, 2007 Share Just remember the memory card and batteries. You MUST have atleast 2x sets of rechargable batteries and and at least 2x 256mb memory cards. All of these small compacts are basically the same. Do not get fooled with digital zoom. Optical zoom is the best. En moet my nie vra hoekom ek jou in engels geantwoord het nie. AndreZA Posted June 22, 2007 Share Ya' date=' and don't get hung up on too many mega pixels either...[/quote'] You will need atleast 3mp to get nice 5x7 photos. My 4mp gives great A4 photos.

Sure, but for everyday use, as in snapshots and such, 4 or 5 is more than enough...

AndreZA Posted June 22, 2007 Share I use Kodak' date=' but in that range of camera, most are quite good... look atwww.digitalplanet.co.za good selection, good prices...[/quote'] Kodak is good but they are phasing out low end cameras. "According to a report by CNET Kodak President Antonio Perez speaking at the JPMorgan Technology Conference revealed that the company "wasn't making much money" in the low-end digicam segment and has decided to pull out of it. In Addition Mr Perez also revealed that the company had developed its own five megapixel CMOS sensor which would make its way into a future Kodak digital camera. It's unclear where Mr Perez draws the 'low-end' line but we can't say we're that surprised at this news.
