shawn Posted February 17, 2010 Share Please would someone explain to this non technical dope what they mean when saying that the sram derailler has a 1.1 actuation. Your explanation would be greately appreciated.
AndreZA Posted February 17, 2010 Share It means that for every mm of cable the levers pull, the derailleurs will move 1mm. Shimano is for every 2mm cable the levers pull, the derailleurs move 1mm.
shawn Posted February 17, 2010 Share Thank you so much Mampara, so in theory is the sram better than shimano ?
techguy Posted February 17, 2010 Share Depends on opinion, the Sram gives a more mechanical "clunky" feel, where the Shimano has a more subtle "smooth" feel, some say the Sram is better in mud but having run Shimano for the last 15 years of my riding I have never had a problem in mud... techguy2010-02-17 03:49:
