A bit of a detour but the roads are quiet and you do not overextend yourself every day.
Frosty Posted June 25, 2007 Share Germiston Wheelers has an annual tour to Durban, and their route is as follows: Thursday: Germiston to Reitz (just under 240km)Friday: Reitz to Bergville (? 175km) or Winterton (? 195km)Saturday: Bergville(? 190km) or Winteron(? 170km) to PietermaritzburgSunday: Pieternaritzburg to Amanzimtoti (? 105km)They sleep over in guest houses or hotels each evening and then get to socialize and have a great time reminiscing over the days achievements ? their really is a wonderful sense of camaraderie which develops amongst the touring party. The last day is a bit shorter so as to arrive earlier at the coast, have a swim and some lunch before loading the bikes on the trailers and heading for home in the support vehicles, arriving back some time after <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />8pm on Sunday evening.
