Daft Vader Posted March 6, 2010 Share So these are the bikes I currently have in my garage. Not all of them are mine. And my DH bike is in getting the fork fixed. I think I may have an obsession with bikes...

Daft Vader Posted March 6, 2010 Share yes' date=' but which one's the fav??[/quote'] LOL, that's a toughie. I love the Da Bomb Xlr8r (the DJ) (Cheetah spots). She is quick and mucho flickable, but she's not very forgiving. The Da Bomb Cheery Bomb (Black & Gold) is also mucho flickable, but not as quick and responsive as the DJ. They are both awesome when you don't have to climb. The Yeti AS-X is awesome in the Alps. Going for 2 weeks in August. 7 inches of get out of jail free. (But the frame is cracked, so I have ordered a 303r-dh) The Cove is new, so the jury is still out on her. But I must say, if you have been considering getting a Gravity Dropper Seatpost, get it. I have been toying with the idea for about 2 years and I finally got one. They are awesome if you like descending but have to pedal to the top. For getting fit, the Look 486 is brilliant, and although she is 5 years old, I think she shows up the new bikes for looks. The Tomac is my missus' bike. Full susser and fookin light. I have not officially weighed her, but I guess she may be close to 10kg. I guess I love them all. They are all for different kinds of rides. Daft Vader Posted March 6, 2010 Share LOL, ironically I agree, but you can't deny the ease of training with a skinny wheel bike. ride and no wash. But the real fun is on the weekend when you won't find me wearing lycra.

I think I may have an obsession with bikes... WOW!!!!! My sentiment exactly, you need a different bike for every type of riding, they all have their own benifits. I do LOVE your collection, except for those gay things with curly handlebars, they burn those at the 24h, Im sure they would appreciate the donation I just need to get myself a trail bike now, pretty much like your Cove, Very Hot

Yang Posted March 7, 2010 Share Every proper cyclist should have the following: 1 x road bike on an IDT, chromoly steel.1 x road bike for training (your old racing bike)1 x road bike for racing1 x MTB hard tail (unless you've sold it for the DS)1 x MTB DS for training1 x MTB DS for racing. That makes 6 bikes. Repeat for each member of the family.
100Tours Posted March 7, 2010 Share The stem on the Cove is too long. it rides best with an 80mm stem and a 140mm fork
