Persona Posted March 11, 2010 Share Are there any people that can tell me how accurate the VO2 max reading is. I would like to know if your VO2 max are higher than 70 (on my polar) is it good and what will a top athlete's reading be (like a Bary Stander) Its a new gadget that my wife bought me and I'm playing with it but don't have a clue what all this means
The Crazy German Posted March 13, 2010 Share 70 is good very good actually top class is 80+ sadly Polar is far from accurate so you might as well be 50 for real
Jaco-fiets Posted March 14, 2010 Share If you go for a VO2 max test at a lab it normally is much lower than the reading you get on your polar.
Guest colonel Posted March 14, 2010 Share No offence but Polar is far from accurate in this regard, minus about 20-30 off that.
Persona Posted March 14, 2010 Share So the only good thing about Polar is?
Guest colonel Posted March 14, 2010 Share Polar is very good, infact very good but no monitor of such can tell a person their V02max. You need to be hooked up to a machine like this poor motocross chap:
