Do your norma Tuesday ride, and then ease up for the rest of the week. Maybe do an EASY ride on Thursday, but skip the Saturday ride in total. 'Dale Posted March 13, 2010 Share Get enough sleep. Not enough Zzzzz can undo a lot of the the training time.
vanniri Posted March 13, 2010 Share For XC racing: Race = Saturday Week before: Last hard session - Tuesday Wednesday - Intermediate distance slow ride on tar (+/- same as your estimated race time) Thursday - passive rest (no bike) Friday - active rest (very slow riding), with some warm-ups and a few (3 - 5) steep short technical hills (getting the blood pumping). Drink 2 litres carb loading fluids fromThursday per day.
Santa C Posted March 13, 2010 Share Halve the distance and time in the saddle, but very NB to keep the intensity up!
