Compact - front derailleur hanger to high

Hi

 

I'm installing a compact groupset on a carbon frame that has a fixed front derailleur hanger.

 

The problem is that even in the lowest position in the vertical slot of the hanger, the gap between the biggest chainring and hanger is 3-4mm, while the recommened gap is 1mm.

 

Except for (carefully) filing the slot lower, any alternatives or other people that had this issue?

I suppose it a braze on and not a clamp on - just checking....
