Hey guys

I know this thread is old... but I thought I'd share Mike's (Mikes Bikes)Carbon Nomad build.

He actually built one up a few weeks ago, but the next day a (lucky) customer twisted his arm to sell it. Ha ha!

Here you go:

Santa Cruz Carbon Nomad (L)

Fox F150 Fit RLC 15mm QR with tapered steerer

10s XT rear der & shifter

Gamut chain guide

FSA Team issue CWS

Chris King BB

Cane Creek headset 1 1/8 - 1.5"

XT pedals (540 pedals shown)

Thomson Master Piece seat post

Selle Italia SL Piston Bone (mg rail) saddle

Stan's ZTR Flow rims

Formula hubs

Thomson X4 stem

Bontrager foam frips

Formula R1 brakes (180 frnt/160 rear)

Edge carbon bar (710mm)

E13 chain ring

Schwalbe Rocket Ron 2.25's all round

XT 10s cassette

XT 10s chain

weight: 11.86kg's with pedals (XT) and sealant.

Upgrades to be done as parts arrive:

Easton Haven wheelset

10s XTR CWS, rear der and shifter

The weight is really impressive considering the travel of the bike, and that it's not buil with the lightest parts possible. A gravity dropper will be fitted soon. Once the wheels and new XTR bits arrive, it should hopefully be sub 12kg's with the gravity dropper!

This really is an awesome machine, more than enough travel, light enough to pedal around and still tough enough to take a bit of a beating.
