L.T.G Posted April 23, 2010 Share is the 310XT more for a runner and swimmer? or a good cycling unit too? finding out for a mate of mine, I'm using a RS800CX PTE and I'm super happy with it, but I don't run at all so it suits my purposes fine. 310XT or RS800? Face Plant Posted April 23, 2010 Share i think the 310 XT is for Multisport/triathlons
stewie911 Posted April 23, 2010 Share It is for multisport. Has nice features, like waterproof for the swim and automatic change between sports. Was looking at one, but I only run and cycle, so I'd rather take the RS800cx. You can buy an additional gps pod for around R1000 I think or there is a footpod. Reason for not buying 310xt - It's too big to wear as a normal watch and I prefer Polar.

JustAgar Posted May 3, 2010 Share If you want more detail on the 310XT visit this Blog review http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2009/09/garmin-forerunner-310xt-in-depth-review.html I've trawled the web and this is the best review out there that I could find.It is of a high standard and covers the 310XT comprehensively and objectively. It is ideal for triathlon but also works well for running/cycling.I use one.
