Christie Posted July 27, 2007 Share Mansfield & co talked to Phil Ligget this morning on 94.7 Highveld Stereo. Some interesting comments: 1. He emphasized that Rasmusen was removed because of uncertainty about his integrity, not a failed test. 2. He was positive about the riders getting thrown out of the Tour, saying that this was the way to start cleaning up the sport. 3. He said he would stake his reputation on it that TBL were riding clean. He is of the opinion that they are getting better results than before because more of their competition now ride clean too. On a serious note, I think it is a good thing that the sport is cleaning up and I take note of the fact that entire teams are pulling out, does that mean they are rather withdrawing than being bust for doping?
