does anyone have any gpx files/maps for a 40k or so ride around sterkfontein dam/harrismith?

Try the MTN guys as the National Champs was there last year. Alternatively head out past the botanical gardens, through the boom gate of the reserve and then head up any of the roads left towards the mountain. You can't really get lost there with the mountain as a visual reference so just explore - oh and give "Donkiepas" a go

Go Down Retiefs pass towards Geluksburg and up towards Harrismith from Geluksburg - probably abpout 100km loop which you can chop shorter with a pick up if possible. Retiefspass is part of the Berg and Bush route.
