I need some advice.I can get this frame for what I think is a real bargain(R3500.00),the frame is still in a good condition but I don't know much about these Carbon Full suss frames.

What do you guy's think? Is it a good frame and a good prize??

Not a fan of carbon MTBs but it is a great price. The alu version of that frame will be around R5500.

Why aren't you guys fans of carbon MTB's? The frame will basically be for me, so.... I'm not (tooo / thatEmbarrassed) heavy and will obviously not do super technical routes at the speed of a freight train at full steam....

pro's and cons please....Big%20smile

Dont do it! If i were you if i were you i  wouldnt buy it (btw: what are the details of the owner of the frame, i'll buy it!!!!WinkLOLLOLLOL) (Jokes, go for it its not that much, just make sure everything is intact, always nervous about secondhand mtb bikes, they do generally take a beating, all depending on the previous riders riding style)

the problem is if u fall on sharp rocks bye bye frame...the pros is it might be lighter but in all fairness not that much lighter.it does look cool but stones will chip it too. for road excellent for mtb not

as far as riding style goes it makes no difference its the terrain that we ride on that makes the difference

Rad summed it up more or less . You may be a very carefull MTB racer but there comes times when you got to go over the rock or jump the gap and if things goes wrong I fear you may break more than just a leg . I must admit that I have not heard of a lot of carb MTB's breaking

If you just scrape the surface it can lead to a crack with all the pounding a bike takes. And if you are not riding a MTB hard, then you are wasting your time.
