firewolf Posted June 27, 2010 Share Don't know about the off road version but my road AC RD440's stay true, keep rolling, are lightweight and stiff, and cost effective in terms of innitial outlay.
Bike Mob Posted June 29, 2010 Share The used set I had was the old spec. The new pairs I have are 2010 models. New graphics, and the rims are now tubeless ready. They are also lighter by about 40g. Also the freehub body now has steel reinforcement plates to prevent the cassette teeth biting in. Check my post : https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?/topic/75379-american-classic-mtb-26-disk-wheelset/ B)
Bike Mob Posted June 29, 2010 Share ZTR or American Classics? What is the verdict, which is better? Ztr's usually use AMclassic hubs in their sets, only now do they have their own hub which is a copy of the amclassic... The ZTR rims are a little lighter, and lower profile, and is kinda tubeless specific. but their light rims have weight limits. The amclassic rim has a higher weight limit and is a great weight off the shelf.
