mtb_Josh Posted July 14, 2010 Share I ride a 11-32 cassette on my current mtb wheels but I've just bought a 2nd set to use for training as my other set is taking a bit of a beating and I dont want to wear out my nice expensive tyres on tar. My question is - would putting an 11-34 cassette on the training wheels mess me around on the bike? Would I even feel the difference?
Christopher Brunsdon Posted July 14, 2010 Share I would say quality of cassette and condition will make a bigger difference - discovered that when I replaced my old cassette with a new, better, one. What a big difference even though they are same just the new one is two models up.
mtb_Josh Posted July 14, 2010 Share Thanks, I'm planning to buy a new, entry level shimano one. Cant go much higher, my budget is already shot to hell! I'm going to be using old worn tyres on the wheelset for now as well!
