Squier Posted July 23, 2010 Share I found this this morning while going through the government tender bulletins at work. A tender by the Department of Transport: Appointment of a service provider to undertake a feasibilitystudy to determine the economic viability in establishing alocal bicycle manufacturing assembly plant in South Africa. I am assuming that this will be more focussed on "community uplifment" but still, a step in the right direction?
AndreZA Posted July 23, 2010 Share You get "bicyles" and you get "bicycle shaped products". The stuff they sell in P'nP and Game etc are the latter and I bet that is what they want to establish.

Thought so too. Like I said, it will probably be "cheap ass" bikes that they distribute in the communities. But, I still think this could be a step in the right direction.
