Skaap Posted August 2, 2010 Share 10 to 1 it is not the frame ,,,, but your pedals,,,, just a thought...
Bike Mob Posted August 2, 2010 Share Check your BB cups are greased, then check your skewers for tightness, then grease the dropouts a little. Also check your chainring bolts, put a drop of lube on those to see. Do one thing at a time and test so you know exactly where to go next time it dries out. The carbon is not creaking. AndreZA Posted August 2, 2010 Share seat post clamp or seat clamp. Don't over tighten either.
Genesis Posted August 2, 2010 Share I dont want to be a prophet of doom, but I couldnt find the "creak" on my bike and it ended up being a crack on the rear stay. It was not easy to see. Check it out carefully especially where your rear disk brake connects to frame. Or if its a road bike then check whole rear stay for hairline cracks. mikkelz Posted August 2, 2010 Share Make sure the pedal axles are greased where they screw in to the crank arms. My carbon fiber road bike was creaking/ticking noise and I finally solved it by greasing the pedal axles.

LeTurbo Posted August 2, 2010 Share Carbom? It's not creaking, it's ticking. But at least you get 1000 virgins at the end.
stewie911 Posted August 2, 2010 Share seat post clamp or seat clamp. Don't over tighten either. Also check to see if it's not dirty and make sure the seatpost is not further out than the max

Big J-WP Posted August 2, 2010 Share Grease the seat rails, if that does not work, put some grease on the fork stays. But it is not the frame. Something just needs some lube or grease. OR If all else fails do what I tell everyone to do Buy a set of earplugs.
