I use these Hope Saw Floating Rotors. I have 203mm on the front and the back. Any questions in particular about them?

patches Posted August 12, 2010 Share Do you use skewers or through axle up front??????? I have them on a DH rig, so I got them on Hope Pro II's. (20mm through axle on the front, and 150mm x 12mm on the back) What I forgot to do was answer yumeya's original question, so here goes... I got these from CRC for R360 each (landed... had free shipping though). Locally, most LBSes don't usually stock 203mm rotors, and the few that do don't have much variety. Plus the cost is around R450 for RavX. I saw the 160mm versions of the above Hope rotors at an LBS and they were going for R650 each. Somy answer is YES! these are worth the money (if you buy from CRC... I wouldn't pay the estimated R800 each that one would pay locally for 203mm. The only hick-up I've had with these was setting them up properly. Those 6 rivets connecting the inner to the outer were catching on my caliper (Hayes Stroker Trail). But with some effort I got it all to work... it's all just a matter of finely tuned clearance. Besides, I'm sure this issue (which can be resolved in 5min) probably won't happen with other brake calipers. (Especially if you're lucky enough to have Hope Moto's ) So yeah... there's my 5c worth
YUMEYA Posted August 12, 2010 Share I should have said in my previous post that I was in the market for 205mm and 185mm. Thank you Patches for all the info, much appreciated. Now for CRC to get in some stock.

Now for CRC to get in some stock. Sure thing, anytime 3 quick questions though... 1st - 205mm?! Those are pretty rare. Is it your adapter that dictates you take that unusual size, or your brakes themselves?! 2nd - what brakes you gonna be using with these 3rd - Most important question... what colour you getting
