georges Posted August 5, 2010 Share I'm an everyday MTB rider spend about 12 hours in the saddle a month mostly 50/50 jeep and single track and some rock gardens etc.and do the odd 55km and stage race.Been offered the following from a local hubber and he appears to to be a honest and nice guy and reckons the parts should be fine for my riding Olympic ZTR rims with tune hubs and DT swiss spokesDT Swiss XRC 100 carbon fork. Is this over the top and will these parts last? I was thinking Mavic Crossmax SLR Disc and FOX FRL 100 Some advice would be great.

The fork is a pure racing fork, made for lightweight and not durability. If its weight loss you're after, then yes, otherwise Fox is still the best when it comes to reliability. Brighter-Lights Posted August 5, 2010 Share The DT fork = much more maintenance... Without offending anyone... search MTBR.com for Tune hub issues... there's many...

Bos Posted August 5, 2010 Share All of those parts sounds like weight weeny stuff. If youre not a Racer, I might steer clear. What are you paying for the stuff?
