Poison Ivy Posted August 29, 2007 Share Are there any females on the Hub that can recommend good saddles? And it doesn't have to be ladies saddles. Those don't work for me. I've always ridden with male saddles coz they are more narrow than the ladies versions. I really need help finding a good saddle - any advice ? Rakker Posted August 29, 2007 Share I use a Selle Italia Prolink. Don't know if you will get any in S.A. We used an internet bike shop. The Prolink is magic for me. I used to have the ladies Trans am (?), but I didn't like it. I will never use another saddle than the Prolink.
Dibles Posted August 29, 2007 Share You didn't mention if you want a road or mtb saddle but this is very comfortable mtb one.I use a Specialized Ariel which is a ladies specific saddle and it comes in two different widths so I'm sure it would be narrow enough for you. http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCEqProduct.jsp?spid=30096 "Inspired by the shape of the Ariel SL, this women's specific, Body Geometry, MTB saddle has enough cushion for all day riding in an more affordable design." moonlight Posted August 30, 2007 Share I use the Selle Italia SLR XP it is a hard saddle but it works for me, got the same one on the MTB with a "thudbuster".
Rakker Posted August 30, 2007 Share The Prolink is for both road and offroad. Have a look on the link below. The "composite rails with elastomer mounting and flexible base" part is according to me what makes the saddle so comfortable. It's like having suspension in your saddle.http://www.teamcyclist.com/store/Selle-Italia-Saddle-Prolink-Light-Gel-Black-ID_P8403C1148.cfm
Buffwhack Posted August 31, 2007 Share I changed to a Selle Italia Ldy Gel flow on my Road bike and it is the best thing I ever did. At first I found it difficult to justify spending that kind of money but it is worth every cent and a sre behind is thelast thing on my mind now.
