Guest agteros Posted September 1, 2010 Share but some bikes are more fun fun is fun.. but fun in the sun is better though! hmmm... a leetle bitta fun vs a whole lotta fun sounds like "klein sondetjies vs groot sondes", "wit leuentjies vs bedrog" in the end it all (group in quotes) stay the same
Tumbleweed Posted September 2, 2010 Share tumbles WHAT is that - it's SO PRETTY!!!!!! It's the Bowery. It's a nod to the bikes used at the '84 Olympics, I think.

Brighter-Lights Posted September 2, 2010 Share I realaly dont like Giant. Their bikes are just so bland and uninspiring to me Bland enough....? (Madelein's Anthem X - built and customized by me) Hope this is inspiring to you...

moomin Posted September 2, 2010 Share Bought a 2008 Anthem 1 frame (over the Hub) in June. Seemed like best value for money, although I did not really like Giant. I love it every freaking ride i do with it! the geometry is great, I find it really comfortable. Climbing, downhill, technical single track... although the new low riser bars are pretty wide, might still get grabbed by a tree that jumps out at me at some point.I am finaly considering going for the full and maybe even ultra marathons, not just the 30-40-50km races. Then again, I did upgrade from a hardtail, so any dual suspension would have made me feel this way.
martinator Posted September 2, 2010 Share I put Giant and Trek/ Bontrager in the same category- bland, uninspiring and ideal for old ladies on Sunday's to ride to church RIDE SCOTT!!!!

Jaco-fiets Posted September 2, 2010 Share My fist mtb was a scott hardtail - i liked itMy 2nd mtb was a scott scale 40 - i liked itmy 3rd mtb was a giant anthem 0 - i liked itmy 4th mtb was a giant xtc 0 - i loved itmy 5th mtb is a scott scale rc - i really love it My point is - if you like the sport the bike wont make you like it lessI prefer the giant's long geometry for longer rides - its more comfortableI prefer the scott's compact racy geometry fot singletracks and climbingContador has won the tour on a trek and a specialized. If you give him a silverback he will win it again. Its all relative
