sram xx chainstay clearance

hi, i recently had xx groupset fitted to 0.9 merida 2010 frame. what is the normal clearance between the large chainring ans the chainstay. its gxp bb and 42 large blade. my chainstay got some damage on this weekends race.

The most XX cranks we get here are Q156 which does get close to most frames.

These cranks are not "One size fits all"

You might need to get a crank that spaces futher from the frame.

Spacers are probably NOT the answer

should have added,my crank is the Q166 with the furthest clearance as i understand and spacers either let the crank arms fall of when under torqued or it seizes up when appropriately torqued?

Spacing the Non Drive bb will change the clearance,but you don't want the rings closer than about 2mm from the stays,also important to make sure the chain line is not off-set to much ,or your chain will rub or even get dropped all the time.

Just fitted XX for myself and LOVING it.

also thinkk the xx is great,but some tech problems. merida has direct mount fd and they only imported the s2 and not the s3 which is the correct fd for my frame, also the problem with tightening the crank with spacers.
