thanks!

Bruce' date=' you guys were very impressive today.  Clap Congrats on a great result.[/quote']

I'll tell you what, Spidy and NoChain (I think it is?) did some major damage along the Tarlton road.  Unfortunately I think they burnt a whole matchbox on that section 'cos they didn't have much left in the tank!

I got dropped and managed to fight my way back on again, but it was touch and go that is for sure.

Hey Bruce,

I didnt do the ride, but NP's etc are almost identical to mine (measured on my Ergomo), I am 77kg BTW.

Out of interest, whats your 20min NP ?

Cheers,

Simon

Simon, are you referring to my personal best 20min NP or the 20min NP from the race?

Race was 361watts.  But note that NP over a 20 min duration must be treated carefully, it can be influenced heavily by Anaerobic Capacity.

I was talking about personal best NP.  I very seldon race on the road  (and dont have a power meter on my MTB yet) but my best 20 min NP is 384w (Winter classic road section).  I have fairly often gotten around 350w NP for 20min.

Not sure I am following you re Anaerobic Capacity, could you explain ?

Bruce were you in a breakaway? Because judging from your 20min, 30min and 1 hour, you were either sitting in the front the whole time or in a breakaway?

The race was just a war of attrition basically.  We had planned to start attacking heavily in the last 10km but the damage had been done before that and we had gotten rid of everybody - so it was just a Tempo ride to the finish for the last 15km or so.

What tempo ride ? It was like been motorpaced by HRC (Marco - Honda Racing Corporation). LOL
