Vetseun Posted December 16, 2019 Share How did you fit the small cross bar? Duct Tape Pal.Works lekker.I took a piece of electrical conduit. Then I took a piece of steel of the same diameter as the bar, heated it with a plumbers torch. Then a melted the half moon shape into each end on the conduit. Then I filled it with epoxy to make it strong. Duct taped it to the bar. Mojoman Posted December 17, 2019 Share Anyone know what these concrete blocks with the signs denote? The area was an old gold mine from the later 1890s or so...Been untouched for the last 25 years of my time in the area (25 years ago we used to come and camp out here...how times change!)....now this in the last week or so....The other pillars are numbered GOU -7B and GOU 8 Edited December 17, 2019 by Mojoman Andrew_Smith, Long Wheel Base and DJR

Mojoman Posted December 17, 2019 Share DMR = Department of Mineral Resources .... trying to stop illegal mining ?Land is owned by a local gold mine (no longer really functional, sad really as it used to have a restaurant and bar and you could pan for gold for fun and enjoy the views out over the area). I have heard that there are new applications for mining in the area.
