Also had a "weird" day on the trails .... nothing a pump and some tools could not sort out though ....

What a stunning morning on the trails !!

With the predicted rain our arrangements for the morning was all pending ..... by 7:00 we made the call and went to Bloemendal.  WOW !!  Simply SUPERB weather !!  NO rain.  NO dust !!!  NO wind.  and hardly any other riders out on the trails ....

My friend's bike had a horrible sound on downhill sections .... So we gently completed B-Spot and headed back to the car.  Checking a few things while riding back .... not the suspension .... not the gears or chain .... possibly the rear brake ...  loosened the brake caliper, apply the brake, tighten the caliper.  Thankfully this did the trick.  (Jip - first ride after getting the bike back from a major service ....)

We headed out for a second lap, this time including some more of the routes on Bloemendal.

Ride concluded with LEKKA coffee

Then nearly got taken out in Pamona by a blind bat in a BMW reg Trustar GP who claims she never saw me.

Luckily I had seen her coming along to merge into the road and had started making space. It still got pretty damn close.

Tell them motorists who is boss Vettes, tell them!  :D

Edit: It is great to have roads so quiet that you can have a wee in the middle of it and not worry about offending passers by........I miss the Karoo!

Who knew shuttling Tokai would be a thing!!!??? With the new downhill dash between the Silvermine top gate and the DH tracks, shuttling is worthwhile...3 runs and you poked, with 27km under the belt! And those walls on the new "old" transit section between level 5 and 4 make it worthwhile!! Well done to the new crew at TokaiMTB and DuranDuran for bringing a bit of the French to Cape Town trails!!

Tokai sure has had as makeover!

PS still looking for the best route to get to the top of the new Donkey Trail...it looks STEEP AF from level 5!!!!!!
