I used to call it Fishers Hill too, but the local Rotary club that helps organise our race made sure I knew the difference.

Please tell me the difference?

Not being funny, I would really like to know, I lived there for 20 odd years, and always known it as Fishers Hill?

Fishers is the one that veers off left. The one that carries on passed kloof is AG.

EDIT: But most people call the one that carries on up passed kloof, fishers.

As LWB has already said, Fishers Hill (yellow line) is Main Road and veers off left at FG La Pasta, and passes through the suburb called Fishers Hill.

AG de Witt (red line) ends up passing through Dawnview, with Fishers Hill (suburb) left (over the koppie).

That’s how it was explained to me, man years ago.

Oh, I was really just talking about the spelling.... ????????????

I have never heard of AG Dewit refered to as Fishers Hill, before they blocked the parking areas at the top off we used to call it Lover's Lane because, well, I dont think that needs explaining, and Main Rd I have always just known as Main Rd

I see someone created the AG de Witt hill as a Strava segment

What a stunning afternoon on the trails.

Actually left home ... then turned back for my gilet and arm warmers .... nice warm afternoon, but a thick mist over the trails and the moisture in the air had a proper bite to it.  All the better for a nice hard ride without over-heating.

The LEAST people I have ever seen on the trails !!!  In fact, NOBODY on the trails at Bloemendal, past the mast nor at Contermanskloof.  Think I did almost 35km before I saw the first person on the trails.  Weird being the ONLY person at Dairy Shed .... and Saturday it was so busy I did not even join the line to order coffee.

I ordered an Americano .... the waiter asks: "Like me or like you?"  Huh .... sorry, like what?  He asks again, with a BIG smile on his face ..... I had to ask again .... He laughs, and says: "Black or white?" :whistling:

The mist in the air made for some interesting pics ....

The first other riders on the trails ...

Afternoon traffic to the right .... just made the trails extra special ...

I don’t like to call what I do training but I’m doing the swartberg grand fondo in august and have been riding up a lot of hills lately

this hill is 10km from my house and I have serious concerns about my ability to ride swartberg pass with 142km under the belt
