Where has your bike taken you today?

Bit of a chilly start but double layers of most things kept me nice a toasty, just my forehead that actually felt the cold.
time constraints meant shorter ride than I wanted, but first ride on the road in 4 weeks, legs felt strong, heart rate was indicating I’ve lost fitness.

Ouhhhh one of my toughest days on a bicycle to date.

had a bit of a stomach bug since Wednesday, not a lot of sleep and it was super hot. But glad I did it.

I’m definitely more keen on the alps though !

Great outings there @Jbr - the stuff dreams are made of. You are also putting in solid intensity. I am more conserving when in them high mountains as I want to ride almost every day.

looking through all the posts. man Im jealous. Im still recovering from a bad case of Covid.  Played with the dog today for about 5 min and my heart rate shot up to 120bpm (I measured).  so still about 3 weeks off the bike.  sucks.  but It could be worse.

Yes man living the dream when I can.

I wanted to at least do Alpe d’Huez and another iconic pass in the alps + Ventoux so it’s already a success :)

I have very limited time and access to bikes so when I have a day off (from work and from the wife and kid) I make the most of it, even if I’m recovering from a 3 days diarea ????

Now I doubt I’ll have a chance to do another decent ride before I come back home, maybe wednesday in Marseille surroundings if I find a shop to rent from and a way to drive there ????

I've been all over, from the deepest and most remote of valleys to the highest peaks in the kingdom. The beauty of this country is unparalleled. I've ridden 800km around the country

Agreed! I've only been a couple of times, but the Kingdom blew me away, I can't wait to get back soon!

Came across a scary scene at the entry to quarry this morning after vasbyt at tokai. Rider down in a pool of blood. Apparently he was out cold. There was a doctor in the group that found him. Hope he is ok. Anyone else know anything?
