Frosty Posted September 5, 2021 Share A quiet week for me, this week; not quite an off/recovery week, but not much to look back on. A new training block starts tomorrow, and you know what that kicks off with?

I FLY Posted September 6, 2021 Share We went down to Reitz for the Bieliemielie 3 day Mtb race. Routes were mostly gravel roads but there were some decent single tracks as well. I really enjoy these small community races. Reitz is home to a very large wolf sanctuary- over 200 of them. Yeah, plenty of groups this weekend went south. Bloody fools. Must have had terrible rides coming back. One of the first things I learnt was go out into the wind and come back with the wind. Frosty Posted September 6, 2021 Share It was a tailwind coming back from the South (on Saturday)... completely the opposite to the weather app forecasts. Was a breeze coming home.

Jbr Posted September 6, 2021 Share Little post race spin testing the repairs on my bibs and on the bike (with the addition of a set of skin wall tubeless that are finally available in the country !) Not sure about the bar tape though ???? DJR, 475, _David_ and 4 others 6

'Dale Posted September 7, 2021 Share The Khoi and San people named the mountain Hoerikwaggo or Mountain in the Sea. But the history of this mountain dates back way more, to over 30,000 years and there is some evidence that the mountain was inhabited in the Stone Age as well as hand axes were found in the Kirstenbosch Garden. The mountain was sacred for the Khoi and San people as they believed their god (Tsui or Goab) lived there. - Source: Table Mountain National Park website Edited September 7, 2021 by 'Dale _David_, Hairy, CPT MTBer and 7 others
Jbr Posted September 7, 2021 Share Table view and milnerton's nice cycle paths Always so nice to puncture a brand new set of tyres after less than 50km... front tyres lasted 34km and rear tyre 44km....that one being to badly cut that I struggle to seal it even with a plug...
