Frosty Posted October 16, 2021 Share The 77th day of AuGUST. For me, and easy ride in hard conditions. Edited October 16, 2021 by Frosty Pikey, DJR, The Ouzo and 4 others
Charlie600 Posted October 16, 2021 Share Although the winter weather means that (for me at least) no weekend rides commence before sunrise at around 08h, the trails remain incredibly beautiful! I've also discovered a WW2 bunker on today's route which was pretty cool. DJR Posted October 17, 2021 Share Black on Black meets colour on the Constantia Greenbelts. Wet, muddy, slippery, sunshine, drizzle, clear, overcast, sunny with showers! Lovely four-seasons-in-one ride with Beattbox. Great recovery coffee and Swiss confectionery (thanks S). Serious bike wash done, fire lit, wine open, now we braai! Stuff this on/off rain, if you let the weather dictate what you do in Cape Town, you need to change your approach! No more bottles disappearing in shame ???? This pic taken after a clean, following a very dirty ride this morning. Learned some lessons about what my "city slick" tires are capable (or rather, not capable) of on wet mud... On a related note, I also learned (on the job, so to speak) how to unclip off a bike that's going down... twice ???? splat, ChrisF, MORNE and 2 others 4

The Ouzo Posted October 17, 2021 Share Weather app lied again, it said by the time I turn to come back the wind would have died. It didn’t. Was a hard slog back. ChrisF

'Dale Posted October 19, 2021 Share DC prep 130 clicks | 5 hours rollers: Sunday was one the wettest spring rides. Another wet one in Q4 was the DC from a few years ago. Most of the guys were not prepared for rain and fortunately the Mercury never dropped below 12 degrees. It was such an adventure and, fortunately, everyone got home safely without kissing the tarmac.
