A long time ago near Buffelspoort... seeing this picture today made me think about all the time I have spent out on a bike alone

"I prefer to think of myself as a lone wolf, a renegade, a man who stands alone against all the dangers a motorized world can throw at him. Defending stop as yield, red light as stop sign, and take the lane laws. I ride alone because the path I follow few have the fortitude to journey."

Greyton. Went past a big dam. Looked full. Niiiiice. Still charging us a tax for water shortages. Not nice. Headwind for 58532kms. Not nice. Showered and chilling now. Great success.

Lovely picture this one. Gnarled trees showing what the wind is like there, storm clouds threatening, ice cold cool bike........very good!

After missing Dutoitskloof at the 100er because of a mechanical AND missing the DC because of…. well race cancelled… I thought maybe it’s a good idea to make a stop on the way back at dutoitskloof and not let the 8hours of driving go to a complete waste (okay the race pack was pretty cool but still not enough to make the trip completely worth it)

Not crazy windy, but the famous cape town - both ways - headwind ???? Thought the climb back up from paarl side was going to be with a tail wind but nope !

A bit of FS and a bit of NW and a lot of rain towards the end ... a cracker ride but definitely need new brake pads!

Nice pics. The Schoemansdrift bridge was newly built earlier this year and Venterskroon is a nice landmark. Awesome to see my homeground through someone else's pics!

My first time riding it with a gravel bike, done it a few times with a mountain bike.  Still enjoyed it despite the corrugations here and there
