mon-goose Posted October 25, 2007 Share What full carbon road frames are currently on the market for R10 000 or less? I know the solis scoria is available for R10 000 but what else is available.
AndreZA Posted October 25, 2007 Share If you get a Solis for 10 you're being ripped off. Should not be more then 8. I'm sure the Karbonia is sub 10. Should get a Giant aswell.
Sonic Posted October 25, 2007 Share Fuji's (Solomons) and Marin (westrand cycles)
Mr MacPhisto Posted October 25, 2007 Share I think some of the level Bianchi's and specialized's might come close - probably not under 10k, but around 12'ish?
AndreZA Posted October 25, 2007 Share I forgot about Marin. They are really good looking for about 8.5.

Eugene Posted October 26, 2007 Share I've been thru this as well. This is what I found. Fuji C4 R6000, Fuji C7 R8000, Dart R6000 and Prorace R6000 at Solomons. I was quoted R7 200 for a Silverback at Wayne Pheifer Cycles (in PE) and I heard that Action Cycles (in PE) also had a Silverback for R5500, although I saw them marked at R7 900. Bicycling list one of the Specialized Tarmacs at R11 000 in their price guide.
Kriek Posted October 26, 2007 Share For under R10 000 I would say the Solis Umbra is the best buy.Weighs at 1.00kg.And I think you can buy one vir around R6000.
