South African distribution company PureMotion Sports has added Factor Bikes and Black Inc. components to their brand stable. PureMotion Sports will act as the local agency on behalf of the British brands.

PureMotion Sports was founded in 2013; since its inception, it has acted as an agent on behalf of some of the most desirable cycling brands in the world, including POC Sports, Skratch Labs, Morvelo, and Lake Shoes. The South African company is proud to announce that it has added Norfolk-based Factor Bikes and Black Inc. to its stable of brands.

PureMotion Sports’ mission is to offer high-quality, premium sports goods and accessories to the outdoor sports industry. The company’s goal is to expand business through cultivating close relationships with various stakeholders in the cycling industry; through this process, PureMotion Sports has secured the distribution rights for, arguably, one of the most lust-worthy bike brands on the current market: Factor.

Factor Bikes, a brand many have only seen online until recently, was conceived in 2007 from a commitment to innovation, speed and performance through advanced engineering. The first Factor Bike, the FACTOR001, turned heads when it hit the streets in 2009 thanks to its beauty and unique sophistication. Now, some 12 years on from that ground-breaking machine, Factor Bikes are a more common sight at WorldTours as they’re ridden by the likes of Chris Froome and the Israel Start-Up Nation Team. While the streets of South Africa have been graced by a select few Factors laden with Black Inc components, PureMotion Sports’ agency will see this brand rise to new heights in South Africa.

Black Inc, when compared to Factor, may be a slightly lesser-known brand to South African cyclists, but those who’ve gazed longingly at Factor bikes would have spotted the component brand adorning the machines. Using the best materials, craftsmanship and passionate engineering, Black Inc strives to create the highest level of wheels and components for cyclists everywhere in the world. All products are created in the brand-owned manufacturing facility, which allows for countless hours of research and development, and product testing. Black Inc’s prduct range spans from bar tape to bottle cages; seatposts to stems and bars, and, of course, world-class carbon wheels.

Recently, Black Inc components have been proven on the WorldTour stage when Israel Start-Up Nation tackled the 2020 Tour De France. This was not the only occasion they stepped up to the WorldTour, however. At the 2020 Giro d’Italia, Alex Dowsett soloed to an emphatic victory on Stage 8 aboard his Factor, kitted out in Black Inc components.

“We are incredibly excited to add these two amazing brands to our business,” explained PureMotion Sports General Manager Robin Moore. “Both Factor and Black Inc have that lust ‘factor’ that we, as discerning cyclists, all dream of; there’s no better feeling on the bike than having a fellow cyclist compliment your machine, and let’s be honest, how could you not compliment a Factor? We would like to thank Mark Nel, from Alpine Sports, for all he has done for Factor in South Africa to date. Mark’s efforts have laid the groundwork for the brand to excel under our agency.”
