Visit the Cape Winelands where you can get spoiled with outdoor activities, as the trails on offer near Stellenbosch will not disappoint. Dirtopia is known for mountain bike and trail run events, but can now offer everyone a bit of entertainment every day of the week.
Dirtopia Trail Centre and Café is situated on Delvera farm that is open every day from 8am. Here you can get your permits for marked mountain bike and hike trails on the farm and in the Simonsberg region.
Don’t have a bike on your holiday? No problem, rent a Giant front or dual suspension from the Trail Centre and they even deliver in the Boland area. Guesthouses in Stellenbosch and surrounds make use of this service often. Bike rental prices from only R200 excluding permits.
The Trail Centre also serves as a shop, selling outdoor clothing from Cape Storm and socks from Falke brands amongst others. Stock up on bike accessories & tools and even trail snacks and drinks.
As Dirtopia Bicycleshop is now situated inside the Trail Centre, the rental bikes are well taken care off and there are Giant bikes for sale as well. Go have a look – any size can be ordered.
Dirtopia Café next door to the Trail Centre has free Wifi and serve breakfast all day. The Barrista will make you great coffee and the restaurant is also fully licenced for lunch. Kids play area in the garden and even go-karts in the farm shed. Go enjoy a Trail Burger, steak, salad or cheese & meat platter.
The Café has a separate conference area, so your group can book snack platters or visit for an idea of an outside function venue. Kids parties welcome!
Looking for something adventurous to do on New Year’s Eve? Then book for the Sunset Hike on the 31st of Dec and get served sparkling wine to toast the last of 2016. Be there between 5pm and 6.30pm to start your walk.
On the 11th and 12th of January there Falke Full Moon hikes takes place from the Trail Centre as well.
Book a room in the Trail Lodge to enjoy all the activities without driving anywhere! The Lodge has three star rating with a big swimming pool, DSTV and breakfast at the café.
Also on Delvera: craft beer tasting, olive tasting, wine shop, pottery, conservancy and bootcamp.
