Thanks for all the replies! Somehow missed that the Trek is not a 29er. Feels like I am being pulled in different directions... And I cannot make up my mind. I thought you get hardtail and softail, nervermind XC and trail ???? I guess I'll be doing XC? Mostly tar and gravel and flowy singletrack. Nothing too hectic or technical. I am leaning towards the Specialised epic comp 2019 in the classifieds. Will do some research ????

Hi guys, I currently ride an old small hardtail Scott Scale 940 with mixed SLX/XT components so I want to upgrade to dual suspension and 1x. Unfortunately, small secondhand bikes are quite scarce. Will be used for tar/gravel and a little bit of trail riding/racing. My budget is about 35k.
