Hi all I have just come across this site and I have had a great couple of hours reading the different topics on the forums. I am from Australia and am here in Johannesburg for the next 5 months with work. Just before I left I purchased a Giant Trance X1 and I am missing my riding. I am actually from Canberra and there is some great riding around ? my local track just held the World Champs, so we are pretty spoilt in terms of trails. The hotel I am staying at has a nice gym with a bike, but punching out the Kms on a exercise bike just isn?t the same. I am thinking about picking up a second hand XC hardtail that I can use while I am over here ? and then take it home with me and convert it to a bike I can ride to and from work ( maybe just change the tyres). I have a couple of questions. # are there any good bike shops around the Bedfordview area? # are there any second hand bike shops around or am I better off watching the for sale fourm here? # are there any good trails around the Bedfordview area? I have access to a car and willing to travel a distance ( if it?s safe, I don?t know my way around). # are there any bike tours or anything that it?s worth me doing?
