Event Name: Cape Outback MTB Xpedition When: 28 February 2013 - 3 March 2013 Where: Stilbaai, Western Cape Category: MTB The Cape Outback is one of the most exciting mountain bike stage races in South Africa. The route traverses 400km from Stilbaai to Stanford in the Western Cape. There are four point-to-point stages through some of the most scenic natural areas that South Africa offers. The route winds through 400km of natural areas, most of which is privately owned. The route includes a national park, two provincial nature reserves and one private nature reserve. Access is given once a year to the management of the Cape Outback to pass through. Special tracks have also been built in partnership with the farmers specifically for the Cape Outback. The Cape Outback race villages are purpose built to accommodate the riders and cater for all their specific needs. Villages are built to the standard that no riders will have to stand in long queues to use any facilities.
