what do they cost and who sells them , i have not seen them in any of my lbs

HI ALL I CAN GET THE SILVERBACK PHOENIX FOR R5800 OR THE MERIDA 60D FOR R5999 ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THE BETTER BUY WOULD BE? IVE BEEN LOOKING INTO BIKES UNDER THE 6K PRICE TAG AND THERE REALLY IS NOT ANY ONE BIKE THAT STANDS OUT AMONG THE REST , IM SO CONFUSED AND TIRED OF GOING IN AND OUT OR BIKE SHOPS NOW. IM A SIZE LARGE FRAME LIVE IN CAPE TOWN AND WILL DO MANYLY GRAVEL ROAD , SAND TRACK RIDING (PERHAPS JUST USELESS INFO :-)

Hi all im just starting off , i have R5k to buy a bike. Im 1.85m tall and live in Cape Town dont know much about bikes , size etc. I need help on choosing a bike , i see now that R5k for a bike is not much but it is all i can afford. Does anybody know of any good deals out there , i have seen a few posted here on the hub but they are all gone now. will appriciate any advice. thanks
