  1. Hi Velo The address we give is a UK address and you can then register as an 'added' address on your ebay. Then all auctions and 'buy it nows' will be available to you as a virtual UK resident. No problem with this had many deliveries from different ebay users. Regards Wes
  2. Hi Seeker911 If you give me the value as per your quote, I can work it out for you. Also i need length width and height of shipment , and weight. remember it is : Freight cost (i will get for you once i have measurements) VAT 14% 0% duties on bicycle parts R 0.00 Local Delivery to Sandton DHL R 0. regards Wes
  3. Hi Eldron Thanks for concern, and i do agree, any transaction 'Pre Paid' is a risk. This is why i only post on thehubsa as its members are generally trusted. The risk is certainly no less buying a R 5000 bicycle that is paid before shipped locally. Generally small bits and pieces and even entire frames or wheelsets carry a risk of less than R 2000. Not too much pressure when saving up to 90% on parts abroad. Perhaps a good test would be to try something small to ensure trust and when hand delivered the goods, im sure views would change. Yes it is a small and developing business focussing on hub buyers for now, Clients in the past have all been family members and friends helping them get bits and pieces over at affordable rates. Because i import for myself all the time, i am efficient and knowledgeable of the system and it takes a lot less effort for someone else to arrange it than yourself. Also, as stated, many buyers only ship to UK address. It works, try it. Regards Wes
  4. Hi iRide, it depends on the parts you need, but yes most smallish parts, can u give me detail, and/or ebay transaction ID?

  6. Hi There, Kindly take some time to read through the forum steps. NF - UK
  7. Hi Guys and Girls I have started a small rather successful forwarding business for Ebay purchases in the UK. Buying Bike parts in the UK is MUCH cheaper than here in SA, but buying on UK sites often means you need a UK address or you cannot buy or bid. Many sellers will ONLY deal with UK people as not to hassle with customs issues and couriers. Well this is where we come in. Ship locally in the UK to our address and let us deal with the paper work. From experience UK sellers are very efficient with shipping and they send off your item within a day or 2. The postal and courier services within the UK are extremely efficient and the goods arrive within 48hrs posted from mainland UK to our destination below. We then forward to you for a small fee and usually within 12 days you have your goodies. Unfortunately we do not ship full bikes but any parts that you may need. Contact me at wnomell@gmail.com or on this forum. Get incredibly good deals on bicycle parts from Ebay.co.uk and send to my UK address (usually free from sellers, otherwise very cheap) Once received, we package all items and professionally wrap and send once a week via DHL to Cape Town (takes 3 working days from date sent, we usually send on Mondays or Tuesdays, thus receive Thursdays or Fridays) Step 1: Send me a mail of what you would like to have sent Include : Your Item Description (best to send ebay item number) Your receiving address Your contact number Step 2: Once you have accepted quote "Bid" or "Buy it now" on ebay.co.uk Give our address as yours "Your Name" Nomell Forwarding 8 Borrowdale Close Earl Shilton Leicestershire LE97GR Step 3: Email your Payment Transaction receipt or goods invoice We will receive your item, package and send on next Monday or Tuesday. Once in SA we will clear customs and pay VAT on the goods, collect and send to your door. Please contact for rates and further info. 9. Hi Guys and Girls Im battling with wheel purchases, I want to buy a decent set of wheels for my 2005 Trek 9.8 but am not sure of the weight of wheel i should be looking for ? I see some nice looking wheels on ebay that go for a good price but are not shimano dt swiss or whatever good well known brands out there. So I would like to know if anyone has any advice about this for me? I want a "flashy" wheel that is light weight but strong. and i dont want to spend much,, is ebay a bad idea? Wez1wp
  10. Hi Goat, medium would be good for you , large u could get away with but rather a medium. I have something i could build for you. The price allows for xt/lx components but prob 8 speed and prob 2004/05 bits. You going to get a bike thats not super light but good enough. but i would definately organise disc brakes (hydraulic). How does a GT frame with rst shock, 952 xtr rear de raileur, shimano alivio front derailleur, deore shifters, 8 speed casette, lx or truvativ crank and BB, hayes hydraulic disc brakes all for R 6500. i currently have most of these parts on my bike which i would transfer to the GT frame or something close and ad a few things that i can get from friends. i want to upgrade my bike anyway, so this suits me so i move al my parts and get add some money and upgrade.. You will have a pretty good hardtail for the bux. And can upgrade later, all bits have very little mileage so u wont have to replace for years due to wear. but u may want to upgrade like me sometime. let me know, i can take pics of stuff thats on my bike and send them to you,,, will try source a medium frame too.
