Hi I am a 36 year old mother of two, I ride a Silverback Reno with toe clips. I am a fun rider first and foremost. I was referred here two months ago by a friend but never bothered registering. I have read a number of topics about how bad roadies are and thought I would like to share an experience I had yesterday that proves one should never generalise. I was riding alone along Botha ave in Centurion yesterday when I got a flat tyre. I was battling to get the wheel off when a huge guy on a road bike stopped and asked if he could help. He took off the wheel, patched my tube and used his own bomb to inflate it. He refuse that I replace it and said I should help someone in the future. Didn't get his name but was a big guy with shaved head, riding a coppery coloured cannondale bike. He was wearing bright kit, sort of orange and blue with a picture of a naked looking woman on the back and the hub logo, which prompted me to register and make this comment in the hope someone knows him and can relay my thanks.
