I was looking at those actually, but I was think maybe the DM 24 or 22's. But the problem isn't finding which rim to get, it's now a question of how do I actually get the rim. Flipping difficult to use the net and our LBS's are absolutely useless.

Thanks hog. But to order from chain is going to cost the same price for shipping as for the actual rim. Is there no way to get it at that price in SA.?

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll really be interested to see your method of bending out the rim. And i'll have a look at those other rims, currently I just swapped out the entire back wheel from my GT 3.0 to the giant and it works perfect, discs line well, the gears work except for the lowest gear. Those rims are ace-17. Not the strongest but they'll suffice until I can get another one. Is ordering from chainreactioncycles a good bet, there website is fantastic and SA is lacking in that department, or should I try look locally.?

Hey guys I just bought a second hand giant stp. The back rim has a flat spot in it and was wondering if it would be easier to locate a press and press the flat spot out, or is it possible to buy a single rim and rebuild the back wheel. I'll probably end up swapping out the front and back rims in any case. Does anyone know where I can get prices for a single rim and what would be a good rim to use. Currently hey have the stock rhyno lite rims. Thanks
