  1. Really disappointed to see Albie Nel and Doug Lang on the list. Well known vets on the Gauteng MTB circuit.
  2. Really?? That definitely was not the case on Sunday - started with the 22km loop and ended up amongst the 54km field on the spruit. Not ideal - something they need to consider for next year. Other than that, kudos to them on a cool route.
  3. Just had a look at the route map for the 72km - it looks like we do the 22km loop first and then join back on the 54km. Please tell me that we don't join behind the 54km riders???
  4. To add: Safety is obviously number one. A proper harness (like a car seat), back support and foot cups to protect the little one's feet is a must. Make sure the product has all the safety certifications...

  6. The great thing about the Weeride Kangaroo Carrier is that there's no need for him/her to "hou vas" in case you hit a bump and throw him/her over your handle bars - it has a full harness so they are securely strapped in and even a cushioned support for their head, in case they decide to catch a nap on route.
  7. Definitely better to have the lightie in-front of you, so you can at-least interact - I'm sure he's not keen on staring at your butt - check out the Weeride kangaroo carrier - http://www.weeride.co.za/childrens-balance-bikes/bicycle-child-seat-kangaroo-carrier

  9. Similar to my 32" cruiser - great fun. Especially with the old back pedal brake! I've got a few for sale, if anyone's keen.
  10. Love it! Nice to be able to interact with the little one, instead of him having to stare at your butt
  11. Dar Tanzania & Sekoma island Zambia
  12. Have a look at the Weeride BB option - 10inch wheels, step through frame, adjustable seat - perfect for a 2-4yr old. R 650 off their site. http://www.weeride.co.za/childrens-balance-bikes/push-bike-white
  13. There's a slight adjustment in terms of riding style with the Kangaroo carrier, but you will be surprised how comfortable it is. It's centre mounted so a good center of gravity and proper support and safety harness, so no problem on the singletracks.
