Event Name: KAP sani2c nonstopWhen: 20/06/2025 - 22/06/2025Where: sani2c Glencairn Farm, Himeville, KwaZulu-NatalCategory: Mountain BikeThis endurance event covers most of the trails of the renowned KAP sani2c three-day mountain bike stage race - but it is completed all in one go within 24 hours. The first nonstop sani2c, which was held in 2007, was possibly ahead of its time. 15 years later and in response to countless requests from those who rode back then, the sani2c nonstop was re-introduced June 2022. A 24-hour cut-off, teamed mountain bike marathon event with a difference, the sani2c nonstop is a point-to-point ride. Starting at the base of the Sani Pass and finishing on the shores of Scottburgh beach, it covers a total distance of 250 kms, which must be completed within 24 hours. Teams can be made up of two, three or four riders and each team has a support vehicle driven by their supporter who forms part of the team. Go to Event Page.

An unmatched journey across our amazing country. This is the original sani2c, where it all started. ‘OG’ riders love to share their passion for sani2c and welcome new riders, especially encouraging women to become ‘OGs’. The sani2c racing happens here. ‘OG’ is a UCI sanctioned event and a Prologue takes place the day before. The OG starts on Thursday 8 May and finishes on Saturday 10 May. An unmatched journey across our amazing country. The Adventure riders think they have the most fun amongst the three sani2c events. The beers flow fast and strong after a challenging morning out on the bike, and the stories of conquering the Unitrans Iconic Climb flow as readily. You have to be quick if you want to be an Adventurer, this event sells out fast (you can join the waiting list for 2025, or do the e-Trail or 'OG'.) KAP sani2c e-Trail ( formerly known as the KAP sani2c Trail), is the e-bike race of sani2c, though all riders are welcome here. 2024 was the first year that e-bikes were put into one focused event and the decision was made to keep this event smaller, with just 250 teams, or 500 riders. The added bonus? All riders enjoy a tent to themselves. There is racing at e-Trail, with leaders’ jerseys after each stage, and the competition is fierce upfront. e-Trail riders love their mountain biking, but some just don’t get the time to train to do the sani trails justice. Their e-bike helps them to enjoy the true value of a sani2c entry, the ridiculously fun singletrack. e-Trail starts on Tuesday 6 May and finishes on Thursday 8 May. Three days of challenging riding takes you through farmlands, indigenous and commercial forestry areas, tribal lands and game reserve, finishing at the seaside town of Scottburgh on the South Coast. The event was started in 2005 by ‘Farmer’ Glen Haw, in order to raise funds for the farm school his children attended at the time, and as the race grew, so did its original vision of supporting the communities along its route. sani2c will always be “more than a ride.” The KAP sani2c is a full-service event with tented accommodation, meals and snacks, and outstanding refreshment stations on the route. It is a two-person team event, and now in 2020 there is a Solo category for individual riders. There are supporters packages available for those wishing to accompany riders and be part of race village life. There is a Trail, Adventure and Race version of the event - each travels the same route, starting on consecutive days. From the majestic mountains of Sani Pass, Southern Drakensberg to the lapping shores of the warm Indian Ocean at Scottburgh Beach, KZN, South Coast. Included in entry: 2 race villages with tented accommodation (a four-man tent to share with your partner). A comfy high density Vitafoam mattress. You will need to bring your sleeping bag and pillow 3 meals a day plus a 24hour chill zone full of yummy goodies enough to pile on all you have just worked off! Access to all the race facilities and improved permanent facilities i.e. hot showers, bike wash facility, rider chills zones with Clover Vanilla Milks etc. Professional medical support by Berg Medical is included however you will need travel insurance in case of hospitalisation. Full logistical support from Super Group who will transport your bag from race village to race village. 2 to 3 water points along the route with lots to eat and drink.
